And it is a pity because the XPS 13 is a wonderful little laptop, and now that the touchpad performance is nearly 80-90% of a Macbook Air/Pro, I am a happy man!! ![]() I suspect someone at Microsoft or someone at Dell has figured this out, or could have figured this out, as software & driver engineers are supposed to review every hidden setting, but it is a pity no one gets to the point of publishing this possible fix. Because I never got to the point that the Synaptics settings panel appear in my control panel/mouse settings, I went to forums to see what others did, and they went to registry to alter the Synaptics driver registry settings.īut then, I thought in reverse, if the Synaptics drivers never properly installed in Windows 10, then there must be a "generic" or "original" Microsoft driver functioning, and that is the moment when I started to search for PrecisionTouchpad registry settings, and I could not believe that the answer is already staring at me in the eye! Same as you and many other users, I have installed the Synaptics drivers and 3rd party dell drivers.
